Are you sure its the shiftlock? It shouldn't be doing that.

After much searching around my Bertone to figure out what was causing the click when I stepped on the brake pedal, I found it was the cruise control off switch (on top of the brake pedal). I know the 93 has a different cruise setup than my 80 does, but I think they retained that same noisy switch.
