BaronGrey

I have been trying to find the whereabouts and condition of BaronGrey for some time.
(Real name = Steve Stanfield)
I was really concerned by his last post here, when he was suffering spinal damage and
muscle spasms. After that he sent me one e-message, and I e-mailed him several times but
didn't receive any replies. I got an address and phone number for him on the internet
but could not get a call through,
A couple days ago I saw an item on ebay offered by Johnny Masada, I believe a former red-dirt
Okie, in Mojave, California. I sent him a message and asked him if he could find out
anything about Steve Stanfield in Ridgecrest, CA.

Today I got a message from Johnny saying "Terribly sorry, George." and giving this link:
http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/bakersfield/obituary.aspx?n=steven-stanfield&pid=134205687

The article says:
Steven Stanfield October 18, 1953 - October 6, 2009 Visitation is Sunday, October 11, from 12-5 p.m., with a chapel service on Monday, October 12, at 8:30 a.m., at Mission Family Mortuary. Interment will follow at 10:00 a.m., at Bakersfield National Cemetery for Steven Stanfield, a longtime resident of Ridgecrest, CA. His long battle with disabilities and illnesses are over and his pain is gone. Steve served in the U.S. Air Force from 1972 to Dec. 31, 1993. Steve and his wife, Tarona returned to California in September of 1999. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Leon Stanfield; and mother, Neysa Dixon; and father- in-law, Bill Benson. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Tarona and special daughter, Amy; brothers, Michael and Ted; sisters, Morgan Stanfield and Missy Cash; mother-in-law, Jayne Benson; brothers-in-law, Tony and Clyde Benson, and Vernon Sitton; sisters-in-law, Carmel Sitton, Dona Stanfield, Sue Benson and Kathy Benson; nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces and cousins. His family and many friends will greatly miss him.

So will we here on the Brickboard. Steve was a MOST interesting guy!
