Hello,

I use a tool referred to as a cotter pin puller.

It has a screwdriver type handle with a 6" long shaft with a 90° bend at the tip.

Also helpful is a small LED light.

I have a small one with a magnetic base or I use a pen style light with a long flexible tip.
