Volume test clarification 200 1990

Been thinking some more about this. Are you suggesting that I measure the volume of fuel thats coming out of the return line (out of the fuel pressure regulator). With enginre running? If so, with or without vaccuum line conntected to the regulator. I understand that this will be a very rough check, but want to make sure I'm setting my experiment up correctly.

correct me if I'm wrong, but If I get "anything" out the return side of the regulator doesnt that mean that the fuel delivery system is able to generate "at least" system pressure. I hate not having a pressure port on teh fuel rail.
