problem solved 200

FYI for others

the problem turns out to be a restricted FPR which prevented entirely any excess fuel from returning to the gas tank.

the test as mentioned in the faq's is to remove the return line from the back of the FPR and connect a test line into an empty can. turn on the engine and see what comes out. in my case nothing came out of the FPR. i replaced it with a spare and "alles gut".

i can only imagine how high the actual fuel pressure must have been between the main pump and the FPR.
