Flame Trap 200

My two cents. Since August, I've replaced flame traps in two '92 240's. Besides replacing the flame trap, I would not overlook replacing ALL hoses attached to the flame trap. I would add the hose that attaches to the oil separator (below the flame trap) and the larger hose that fits to the top of the flame trap in addition to the vacuum line mentioned earlier. The reason is that all these rubber hoses become hardened and embrittled leading to cracking over time. They also get made up with crap. This looks like your arteries and has the same overall effect. Heh, this car is 18 years old, an old fart that needs fresh and clean air.

For the fun of Volvos,
Mike
