Just something I read on the BB recently. There is a Right and Left Ball joint...different parts.
If the left is put on the right...vice verse, it will cause serious tracking problems. I would think that the Alignment guy would have seen this though.

How about a dragging Brake caliper?? that will force a pull to one side.
