What tranny problems? 200 1988

Please do not compare the BW35 with the 'new' AW 5 speed slush boxes. None of the automatics have ever been good past 100K without a lot of flushing. And why is there an overdrive button for the 240 AT? What a pain.

My 220 has a 4 speed MT with an overdrive, but that actually feels like an overdrive. And the switch on the steering column is better placement.

But Volvo stopped making the 120 series cars because they couldn't meet safety standards with that design. Newer Volvos just get 'safer' and are ahead of the other manufactures, except Mercedes which costs too much to buy and maintain.
