I just addressed a problem with rich running and horrible gas mileage. My problem was the connector to the ECT Engine Coolant Temperature sensor under intake manifold runner #3. If the ECT or its wiring do not function properly, the ECU "thinks" the engine is super cold and pours on the gas. Testing procedures are detailed in the FAQ's.
In my case the car was very sluggish and had little power until it reached normal operating temperature... plus the oil smelled like gas. I still suspect I have a leaking injector and will test those as soon as we have another warm day.
