The speedometer began acting erratically recently. Something like this: going up the highway and over a bump – the needle drops to zero. Then a mile or so later it starts up again and is OK for a while. Park and start again – speedometer off.
Well, you get the idea.
I reached up behind to make sure it’s connected, and it is. But it keeps acting as described.
What’s the common cause of this unpredictable failure? It acts like it’s broken, but only part time!
