A/T seperated before engine removal? 700

To remove the tranny or not first is kind of a personal preference sort of thing. Some do and some don't. Piston slap is sort of a clickity-clack sounds that you only hear when the engine is cold. Goes away shortly after warming up as the pistons heat up and expand a bit.
