1994 Volvo 850 - Frequent Stall 1994

First things first, you should re-post this question in the AWD/FWD forum.

Are there any codes set in the OBD? Read and clear them, bearing in mind that if you haven't cleared them in a while, some may be very old. See if any come back. There are no codes for the fuel system.

IMO, your problem does indicate a fuel related issue. I'd put my money on a flaky fuel pump. The kind that runs fine, but then finds a funky spot and stops. Shaking or banging on it will restart it.
If you have a fuel pressure gauge, to check the regulator read the pressure at the rail and at the port under the car between the tank and filter (back by the right rear wheel).
If the fuel filter hasn't been replaced in the past 100K miles, replace it.
To check the relay, next time the car stalls, turn the key to pos. II and listen for the click of the relay. The pump should run for a few seconds.
