Hello,

There is a bronze bushing in the block that sets the end play for the distributor drive gear.

Over time the bronze bushing either wears or slips down into the block which will increase the end play.

With the distributor removed, but with the aluminium base still firmly attached to the block, can you move the distributor drive gear up and down?
