My 740 is a 92 and the O2 sensor is in the cat body. It has Regina FI system. I had to run it a bit w/o the sensor - the cat ran very hot. Sensor replaced and all OK. It plugs in to a connector near the RH strut mount. Regina and Bosch have different sensors. Do not mix them up.
