So.. as a conclusion on this problem thread I started... I ended up driving very lightly for a block or two and once over a little speed bump, then back home.
That seated the brake/hub assembly stuff onto it's tapered position on the up-pointing lower-control are bolt. So I was able to tighten the down much further onto the bolt, matching in depth to the other side which hadn't had the same problem on installation. BTW... is the hub/brakes assembly components called a "trunion arm"...? I'm wondering what the proper name for the stuff mounted between the conrol arms is called?
