Unless your idle is pretty fast I would not think it would be able to put up 45 psi at idle.
Having said that, if you DO have 45 psi oil pressure, it should be adequate.
Oil pressure is largely controlled by the relief valve setting.
The oil pump is normally able to supply more oil than you need and the relief valve keeps
you from blowing seals in the system.
