This is concerning my 1990 760 GLT (ABS). I was inspecting front brake pads and discovered a shim was heavily rumpled. It also looked like it had shifted positions based upon the dirt/dust outlines from the caliper. Pads have little wear on either side of the car. If it weren't for my concern about the condition of the right side shim, I'd not replace pads. I doubt that VOLVO offers shims separately without buying a set of pads. So, should I genuinely be concerned and buy a front set of pads just to get fresh shims?
