Hello,
I don't know why some questions don't get responses
when obviously the problem has come up somewhere, like
your SRS light and the five blink code.
I had my 91 240 in the body shop two weeks ago and
when I went to pick her up I noticed that the shop
was giving her a jump to start her up, but I did not
think twice about it, since she was there for 10 days.

About five minutes down the road my SRS light came on
and when I read the code I got five blinks and I cannot
make the light go out, I have attempted to turn the SRS
light off quiet a few times with no positive results.
I also read somewhere that a weak battery can cause the
SRS light to turn on. Weird that everytime I attempted to
reset the code using a wire to the cig. lighter the battery would die.
I have replaced the battery (it was ten years old).
I have also looked under the driver's seat and noticed that there is
an unplugged electrical wire (SRS) down there but I could not
find where it plugs into. I called the shop and they asked
me to bring the car in, so that they can look at her.

I will get back and let you know what the shop does.
Hopefully I will get her into the shop today.
