New to 700s, Possible '89 764 Purchase, Advice? 700

I am relatively comfortable and familiar with 240s and have been working on mine for two years now. I have the possibility of picking up an '89 764 Turbo that was maitained well for years, but has hail damage and I have two major questions:
1) Can the hail damage ever be successfully repaired?
2) I have heard the 760 cars have a poorer reputation for reliability compared to the 740s. Is this true? What are some problem areas on the 760s?
