The condenser in my '93 240 is of parallel-flow design, but many of the 7/9-series cars that I've seen use a serpentine design for the condenser.

It's not particularly difficult to adapt one of the parallel-flow condensers that AZ Mobile Air offers. I used one in my '83 242 and it works great. If you're friends with an a/c hose supplier (many big truck parts places sell the fittings and hoses and can custom make hoses) you should be in good shape.
