Well, it turns out what I thought was low charge turned out to be the dash control unit solder joint (right on per the FAQ section).
My clutch was not engaging even when I shorted the low pressure switch on the dryer.
Clutch was good by suppling direct +12 to clutch lead.
I did measure voltage on the clutch wire to the connector with AC switch on in cabin. While the connector is attached = low to zero volts. When I disconnect the clutch wire then volts goes to about 12v. This means bad solder joint on printed circuit board on dash unit (MCC)
Boy, did I just save myself a huge hassle - for now
I still have a slight leak in the high pressure hose - so the job has been but off till later
FYI, I have been successful in stopping some pin hole leak by using a good bike shop leak fix kit (patch and glue kit by Rema Tip Tot TT 101 Tour). To reinforce the repair I run zip ties around the path to hold it tight to AC hose. NO more oil leaking from those spots.
THANK YOU BB!!!
