Replace Oxygen Sensor = Better MPG Local Or Highway ?? 700 1991

Thanx for reply. Checked oxygen sensor and it tests out ok. No vacuum leaks anywhere. I triple checked. Fuel pressure regulator(FPR)is less then a year old and fine. Visually the fuel injectors look fine - no sign of leaking. Guess thought that I should have a shoppe test this. Yesterday did about 100 miles of high speed highway driving. Did 21 MPG which is better then 16MPG I have been getting with local around town driving but still pretty bad I think. My deceased 1988 740 wagon with 212,000 miles got 19 local and 28 highway. I would think this sedan should do better or at least same.
