They're both right... from a certain point of view (Says Obi-Wan).
LH 2.4 isn't smart enough to know if the fuel injectors are working or not working. It simply doesn't get enough data to make the call.
When it thinks the mixture is so wrong that it can't make things it right, it blames the injectors. Obviously, this assumes the sensors are sending it reliable info. 99 times out of 100, the injectors are fine, but a sensor is feeding bad data to the ECU or there's a significant vacuum leak or a bad fuel regulator.
