Bonnet Alignment issues 200

I would not do any hood alignment/latch adjustment without removing the grill. This will help in case you get into a not uncommon problem of not being able to get the hood to release after a complete closure after adjustment. With the grill out you have better access to try to solve your stuck hood problem.

There is some adjustment for hood height on the hinges. This image shows the adjusting bolt:

If that is not enough to bring it down to where it belongs others have reported removing the hood and hinges. After the hinge is out of the way my understanding is that a heavy block and a heavier hammer applied to the hinge's mating surface will "rearrange" it in a lower profile so that once the hinge and the hood is reinstalled you can fine tune it to the correct level using the bolt indicated above.

Good luck,
Randy
