Hi all:
I am running out of things to do to my Brick, so I am taking the dash apart and moving the radio/CD to the lower pocket and removing the air vents ( to be replaced with "half-as-tall" ones I will make) and replacing the whole panel, including the holes for gages, and building-in a GPS using a nice carbon fibre panel I had made. In the process, I want to replace ALL the lights in the including the lower console, too. Does anyone, even near Baltimore....or should I say especially near Baltimore, have the sizes I will need? I am at the dealership this morning and can maybe get them here, but didn't bring the old ones. If not, I will go towmorrow to a source, I hope.
Briefly, only because I just remembered....I was driving yesterday and as I approached the second traffic signal for the trip, the car just died. I restarted with slightly more effort and it was good for the day. Day before yesterday, sorry about the order, I was on an Interstate highway and it just sort of "took a gasp of air" and died and the "check engine" light came on. I kept my cool and just didn't move my foot and left in in drive. About one eighth of a mile, it came to life and off I kept driving.(I had left the key on). Fuel starvation came to mind as this has happened before occasionally but far and few times between. I have not replaced the filters for a couple years.??? I just keep thinking one day, on a real trip, I may not be so lucky.
Anyway, as always, I look forward to the intellect from Bork Bork Bork, Jorrell, Pageda, Dave, and more whose names escape me....(I am aging) and my best never-even-met-him comedic and superior graphics buddy, Art Benstein.(near Baltimore) It is always informative and appreciated. God, how could I forget Mr Goatman and his freshly-educated good mind and border line sarcasm like my beloved brother-in-law from Kansas.
