Looking at an 87 740 turbo, looks pretty clean. No rust that I can see anywhere, has had some brake work done in the past year. Rebuilt motor, timing belt, all the electrics seem to work. It was owned by a Volvo mechanic a few yrs back so things look pretty in order, 280'000kms roughly. Will be trying to get it in to my Volvo mechanic for a thorough inspection.

I'm not to familliar with the 740's let alone turbos, what should I be looking for in terms of problem areas? Have always owned 240's with a few 122's and a 140, any opinions on the 740ti's?
