It may be that the search engine only goes through a set number of posts before it stops and returns the result. With such a limited set of inputs, it's no suprize that the output would be throttled.
As for the cloud, I would be very careful about outsourcing your data storage needs for a fee. Investment in such a service yields a continual loss over time. In the long run, it is much better to invest in in equipment then to pay for a service. Like renting a car, or a house.
As for speed, it's not everything, and it kills everyday. I'd rather have Brickboard work slowly, then have Brickboard work badly.
