Separating the bellhousing 700 1990

Argh!

I've pulled all the bolts out of the bell housing and the engine mounts, including the starter bolts.

There isn't even a glimmer of a crack between the engine block and the bell housing. I've had a jack under the transmission and not had a jack under it. I've had the engine lifted high, not lifted at all, and lifted just a little. None of these setups have made it seem like the transmission is going to come loose from the engine.

Suggestions? I want to drop the torque converter on my toes already! :)

EDIT I just saw something about the engine to bellhousing brace. Uhhh I remember seeing one of those, but I thought it wasn't involved! Oh goody! More bolts in the bellhousing. Haha, wow I will be happy when this is finished.
