two stock ATF cooler in series for mountainous driving with a trailer? 700 1990

Hi, I'm planning to prep my 90 745GLE auto (40K miles) for the family vacation in July during the Christmas break. Besides the front end work (timing belt and whatever I will find wrong once I open it up), I'm thinking about adding another Volvo stock ATF cooler in series to the existing one. It looks like that there will be more than enough room there for this and routing the tubings for the new setup is not too hard. I already picked up a nice cooler from a 95 945 in the junkyard. Before I start tearing thins apart, I want to get some opinions to see this is good thing to do or not. Also, while I'm there routing the tubings, I'm planning to put a in-line temperature probe for ATF temperature monitoring.

The reason I'm doing this is that my wife does not like my oild rig, 91 745T withe standard tranny. She does not want to drive a stick car on vacation (too much work!?). If it were up to me, I'd rather stick to my stick brick for this task. Anyone care to tell me if this is a go or no go thing to do. Thanks. Erwin
