any reason to keep a spare generator? 120-130

I keep 2 on the shelf
Can't say I've ever needed a spare for a volvo
but I did use one on a 47 ford tractor for a few years when I converted it
from 6 volt to 12
it seems the copper is only going up in value.
Once gone they are gone forever .
