Flakey stalling problems Round 3 700

Oh well, on to Round 4. New weatherstripping around the entire hood has eliminated wet weather starting problems. Old fix was to spray WD-40 on everything, but spraying too much into the distributor can cause more problems than fixes. Still running rich. Some days starts like a champ, other days for no reason seems to flood out. Still stalls when stepping off from idle, except when I pour a bottle of Gunk Total Fuel System Cleaner into the tank. Cure it right away; it stalls again after fill-up.
Plugs fouled the other day wouldn’t start at all. Too much gas. Changed the plugs and replaced the radio interference relay, which is supposed to affect the fuel injectors.
My mechanic is starting and driving it for a while. Maybe it will flake out on him and HE will have to tow it back to the garage and troubleshoot it, just like I have done for the past year.
Am looking now at the REALLY expensive fixes: New Fuel pump (its a Rex,Regina) or new cat converter.
Or I could just key buying the Gunk at $6.25 a can and hope I clear whatever is fouled out of the fuel system. Or I could by a Camry wagon.
Any more suggestions?
