Replacing a turbo engine with a NA engine : how difficult is it?

Hello all,

I've begun shopping for a replacement for my recently totaled 940. After owning 4 240s, we really liked the size and comfort of the 740/940 body style.

Several of the cars that are for sale in my area are turbos with various engine problems. One of them is a 780 Bertone, 100 miles away, for sale for very little $$. It's a gorgeous automobile.

I've always avoided turbos, thinking them to have an additional level of complexity and expense that I didn't really need. So:

- How hard is it to put a NA engine into a turbo car? I've got a '90 240 with numerous issues but a rock solid engine. How about a NA Bertone?

- Am I being unnecessarily cautious about turbo cars?
