lower control arm 444-544 1959

Hello,

After removing the spring, you have to remove the 3 bolts that hold the 2 piece lower control arm together.

Then remove the 2 nuts on the inboard bracket to remove the 2 halves of the lower control arm from the bracket.

2 pointers on installation:

Do not forget to install new grease seals for the lower pivot(the large suspension bolt with flat coarse threads) if they are damaged.

Pay attention to the spacing where the seals go while you installing the lower pivot bolt. It is important that the threaded bushing in bottom of the spindle is centered between the 2 threaded bungs in the outer edge of each control arm halves.
