My error in previous post 200 1980

Putting Art and Lucid's ideas together, I've been thinking all afternoon about why there is no power to the main fuel pump. Because only wires are involved and usually there's a single, simple answer, I'm trying to re-think what I missed.

I'm embarrassed by the simplicity of the solution. My test light broke, but I have a Voltmeter. In key position 2, 12.46 volts goes across fuse #6, but ONLY on the left side of fuse #7, i.e. 0 Volts on the right side of fuse #7, which supplies the main fuel pump. I replaced fuse #7, and the car started. I also heard clicking in the fuel injection relay (black box under driver's side).

Of course, someone tried to help me and randomly moved the distributor, so the car only starts 50% of the time and only when I'm holding the accelerator pedal. Now I have to adjust the timing, but that's doable.
