Malaysia is No.7 on the list?...I guess I contributed to that.

As 83 GLT says, it depends where you live. Plenty of 240s around in Malaysia, but very few in Thailand, and I saw only 1 in Singapore. Perhaps Volvo's assembly plant in Malaysia had something to do with it.

I have never owned a 240, but I love the 1993-94 Classic. Great cars, simple, durable and easy to maintain. If I ever lost my 144 for some reason, the 240 Classic is the confirmed candidate for replacement.
