Vapor lock 1800 1970

There was a detail change Volvo implemented at some point, which is to add phenolic washers on the bolts that hold the injector mounts to the head for thermal insulation, thus:

Bolt head
Metal flat washer
Phenolic washer
Injector mount
Phenolic washer
O-ring
Engine head

The O-ring needs to be thicker to compensate for the lower phenolic washer standing the mount off the head slightly. The usual 1800 specialist suppliers will have the washers and thicker O-rings in stock.
