The '87 turbo is 2.2 and the '90 turbo is the first year w/ 2.4 system.

The '90 will use different sensors and more importantly; a different engine wiring harness and ECU. The '90 ECU is known to be problematic with the fuel pump ground from the ECU. You can test for this and bypass using the search feature on the board.
