Nice photo, Tom.
Before I got our grocery-getter 245 a new windshield, fuse 7 was a recurring trouble from corrosion. It is an 89 - no shiftlock to warn of a problem, but recently a state trooper let Mrs. B know the brake lights were out.
As an overkill reaction to the warning ticket, I stuck two piggyback spade lugs on a Sonalert buzzer connected across the fuse and buried behind the kick panel. I would hear varying levels of squeak depending on how I rolled those tin fuses even after I thought I had them clean. Copper ones seem much better. I think the real cure was this. The buzzer hasn't been heard from since.
