Windshield and Tailgate Latch questions 900 1992

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the board, and the proud new owner of a '92 940 Turbo wagon.

Today I noticed that in each of the top corners of the windshield, the trim seems to have shrunk, creating small (about 1 cm) gaps that don't seem sealed at all. I haven't had the car long enough to notice any leaking, and I don't see any evidence of leaking, but I'm wondering how concerned I should be about this? Is there any sealant or silicone that I could use to plug the holes, rather than replacing the trim? Or should I just leave it?

Also, I bought the car knowing that the rear hatch does not open. The lever is stuck all the way back, and I can't seem to get a key to turn in the lock. I'm planning to get some lock oil to see if that helps, and I've read through the tutorials about how to fix the latches, etc. But before I can work on it, I need to get it open. What can I do if the lock oil doesn't work? Any suggestions will be appreciated. I'm sure I'll have more questions in the near future.
