Basically, when the U of the yoke at the gearbox end of the front section is vertical, the U of the splined piece that plugs into it has to be the same. Treat these two pieces as one shaft as far as alignment goes. Put some moly grease on the splines before plugging it back in and don't forget the rubber boot that keeps the muck out of the splines.
Not indexed unless you or a previous owner has marked it up. The phasing is the important thing and that should be as above.
