Thank you. I'll guess the de Carbons are the black cartridges?
The cartridges I pulled out of that 1983 or 84 Turbo 240 wagon are the orange ones like you show in the image here.
They still hold an gas charge and spring back quite quickly after your press them down - though not as stiff as the new Bilstein TC cartridges I have here.
So, the orange ones, stamped with Made in France with a Volvo parts sticker are not de Carbons, then? Can the orange one be rebuilt with new fluid and gas charged with new seals by someone? I see a comment that the Bilstein service factory in San Diego only rebuilds Bilsteins, a fellow replied to this thread.
I'll re-read the thread and research more.
