Where is the clearance issue?

My Ranger wheels were the steel type, and very close to being in conflict with the brake calipers up front, but... they worked, and the offset seemed about perfect.

I can't imagine the offset would be that much different, if at all, between steel Ranger wheels and the alloy type.
