1991 240 Cuts Off

Just got my alternator belts tightened. Took the old 240 for a test drive about 15 miles with the A/C also running fine. My problem now is the car starts but won't stay running with or without the A/C on. It starts and then immediately shuts off unless I press the accelerator. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
