91 240 - Low Idling Issue

The low idle and the oil light are likely unrelated. We have covered diagnosing the oil light. Idle is controlled by the IAC which is controlled by the ECU and the trigger for the computer to idle is the throttle position switch.

If the TPS clicks the the moment the throttle opens, then I would start electrically testing to make sure it is receiving 12V and sending 12V to the ECU when the throttle is closed.

That is all assuming that the IAC has been cleaned and tested as well as a check for vac leaks came back 100% negative...especially for all items after the throttle plate (intake gaskets, IAC hoses, brake booster).
