Jerry

Thanks for your information. I am still a little at sea. I have a 1/1993 production California emission 945T. The FAQ does not list California emission spec cars prior to 4/1993 but obviously they exist since I own one.

I contacted Bosch and they said that the 4/1/1993+ California spec o@ sensor is the one I want.

I called two local Volvo dealers and they quoted $250 USD for the part based on VIN number. They would not give me the part number. They said that a California spec 1994 945T would have a different sensor and the price of that was $265.

We no longer have a Volvo dealer in town. The nearest is 30+ miles away. There is a pretty good Volvo specialty shop but they are pretty much same price as dealer with $100+/hr labor and labor calculated by book not time on job.

In this or another thread someone suggested that there is a problem throwing parts at a job. However if labor is costing $110/hr and I can get $250 parts for $50 the parts are cheap compared to labor.

I will see if I can get close to the existing sensor and pull a number off it.

Thanks
Howard
