Thanks for the replies. I haven't found any other reading about using diesel oil, but I will take your word and try it. I have yet to do a compression test. I'll try to do another oil change, and maybe use Sea Foam (but I'm scared I'll kill the neighbors).
Does anybody else agree with the cam gears that are making the noise? It seems to come from the passenger's side at the top of the engine, but sounds can be deceiving!
