Stalling when shifting into reverse (90 240 w/AW)

After stalling intermittantly when shifting into reverse it started doing it all the time so once again mechanic dad had the car back.

I observed the engine during shifting. As you would expect it moved in opposite directions when shifted to reverse or drive.

The CPS plug was in a position to be moved slightly when the shift was to reverse and the engine died. I unplugged the connector and repositioned it which immediately solved the problem. No amount of movement of the connector or cable would cause the engine to die.

Not sure why it was stalling but it is not doing so now after repostioning the the connector.
