Cam swap Timing problem... 140-160

I completed cam swap...went with Phil Singher Special...quite a difference butt-dyno wise...

How come no one mentions possibility of losing distributor timing while swapping cams...what a chore.!! How come none of my manuals (incl Green Book) have a procedure for reestablishing camshaft/distributor drive calibration??

Is there one other than trial and error?
