Thoughts from an old dummy 120-130

I am having a hard time following all of this. If the key broke off while trying to engage the starter, the key is all the way in and the locking cylinder is unlocked. A screwdriver should be enough to keep pressure on the key and turn the tumbler to 'off' or 'on'.
When 'on', the pin can be depressed to remove the tumbler.

Only if the key doesn't fit the lock is there a potential problem. The key can get stuck, but a pick should be able to get it out, so long as the tumbler is in the off position.
