I agree with volvosteel about the arms that move the deflector up and down can cause it to get in the way when you close the sunroof.

If you clean and lube the joints on that deflector, make sure that it moves freely and is not distorted, it should not be a problem.

I converted my "88 740 to a manual crank - $15 at the junkyard and no more problems, It was faster also!
